Glad I'm BACK

So,I'm writting which means that i'm still alive and the crit went really well.
there was a lot to take in as everyone had to present but i was very surprised how everyone came up with something pretty much different and that's what i like about my course and my group , everyone has their own vision and point of view and also in the afternoon we had to chance to interct and do a big fashion quizz with the other student and that was real good as well so overall a pretty nice day!!

Let's move to ICE age!!

hm mm now that's what i call a blessing!!i decide to focus on Russian and Siberia i find so many collections that relates to my theme that i scream Hallelujah...i really like Chanel Fall 2010 and i think this is really inspiring and I'm starting to think this is the one baby!!!...

RuSSIA!!!!!

Now throughout this project I've looked and learned so many things and choosing from these amazing European cultures was not an easy task.So i went back and thought about places that i wouldn't usually look at and what's more usual and different than Russia?So i researched ancient Russian royalties and i liked their stories and their wealth and how their carried themselves.so i thought to myself this is not so bad i feel in love with Tsar Nicolas and his family and looked in deeper at the architecture and it's amazing ,the domes and the art on the ceilings,the windows and i thought you know what this is your theme!!
So I'll be creating a garment inspired by Russia ,it's architecture and the dessert of Siberia.

....Comin to town!!

So,we had to hosted a 4 minutes fashion show because prince Charles was coming to town.The show was based on recycle materials like ropes,wood,plastic and we selected about 12 garments.
It was a really exciting moment because it had to be right,maybe the most exciting fashion show i have ever been involved in and i got to be on BBC midland today which i didn't see myself{what a shame}then the student were treated to free passes into the thinktank and funny enough i have been in the lab for a year and i never thought about going in the thinktank which i found pretty amazing and now I'm into the whole recycling thing which is very very surprising because i don't follow campaigns very easily but it was a good day...

CONcept board

this is my concept board,it's the heart of my sketchbook because it represents everything I've been working on and everything that i want my project and garment to be.
there's a lot going on the page,I've designers like McQueen,Balenciaga,V Westwood and also royalties and bows,pretty embroidery and beads and iconic women.

ImprovD sketches

before starting my project i looked at illustrators and promise that i was going to work really hard to improve my sketches and illustrations and I'm proud of what i have done and produced. I have worked with different media and now i know what works and what doesn't so I'm happy that I've achieved a task that was important to me.

CALL ME A geek!!

I've been really busy this summer but it may not be for the reasons that you think,i haven't been on holiday to any tropical location, all i have done was being stuck in a library listening to not too healthy loud music and eating tones of jelly babies just to get my ideas onto my until then very empty sketchbook.
I have one my research in categories,i have started with royalties,designers,architecture and sketches and I like what I see now in my sketchbook so the geeky stage was worth it!..
